Not everyone can afford a private dentist, and this group lists the alternatives: federally qualified community health centers and county health departments that charge on a sliding scale and take Medicaid and CHIP, dental schools where supervised students treat patients at a fraction of private fees, free clinics run by charities and dental societies, mobile and in-home dentists who serve nursing homes and rural areas, and the insurance agencies and discount plans that pay for care. State and local dental associations run referral lines, Give Kids A Smile days and Mission of Mercy weekends where volunteers treat hundreds of patients for free.

Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Houston peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Horrible experience. They are incapable of helping you on the phone. There is NO choice involved in your healthcare providers. Added value benefits? There are none. Been waiting on this OTC medicine card since June. Still waiting. Their medical transportation is a joke. Drivers are not vetted. Complaints not taken seriously. Had to escalate my complaints to Texas Health and Human Services. This company is inconsistent and they do not value people they are supposed to be servicing. Every time you call be prepared to spend at least 40 mins on your phone and still you get no answers.

Regret choosing this insurance. Tried to make a payment online and the page has an error message. You must go through hurdles to get some routine claims paid. The representatives tend to be nice, but it takes over 30 minutes to reach one.

Honestly I was better off uninsured. I used my local community health center and I paid 80 bucks per visit, based off income. That took care of EVERYTHING. The tests I needed, the visit, everything. Now Iβm with this trash insurance company. I needed a colonoscopy and I keep getting none stop bills for stuff they wonβt pay. And now when I get my regular blood test I have all these out of pocket costs I never had before. I stay getting bills from quest because of this insurance company. They are trash. Go with another company. Iβve never felt more helpless than being insured now that Iβm an adult. Insurance companies should be abolished. UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE FOR ALLL!

This has been the worst experience with health insurance I have ever had. Some people may say Iβm being dramatic, but honestly, that would be an understatement. Trying to find a doctor on the Ultra Select plan has been an endless cycle of frustration. I repeatedly hear, βYes, we take that insurance,β only to discover that the information is outdated or inaccurate. The provider directory is full of doctors who either no longer accept the plan or have removed themselves from the network, yet the insurance company has failed to update its records. Even basic tasks are unnecessarily difficult. Getting assistance with changing or selecting a doctor routinely involves hold times of 45 minutes or more. It took me a full week just to receive my insurance card by email. Every interaction seems to involve excessive wait times, inaccurate information, and a lack of support. At this point, the experience has been exhausting and has made it unnecessarily difficult to access healthcare. As a paying customer, I expected a much higher level of service and accuracy. But they can always take a payment effortlessly if that helps . Donβt be a fool like me

I am absolutely appalled at the actions of this insurance company denying a surgery I urgently need. Not only denying it, but having a pediatrician deny it when I am a grown woman with a large mass on my cervix causing excessive bleeding to the point of having to be point on hormones so I donβt become more anemic. Itβs utterly barbaric for community health to treat a multi year loyal customer this way. I am actively in pain and unable to resume normal life due to waiting nearly a month for this surgery to be approved. This insurance has tried every single excuse to not approve the surgery, including claiming my doctor was out of the 75 mil radius, out of network, and then only taking bronze rather than my gold plan.my doctors office has been battling them for nearly a month. What is the point of my insurance going up by over quadruple in price since Iβve signed up 4 years ago if thereβs zero advocation when Iβm in medical need?
